A Tough World

    Glenn Danzig vs Johnny Cash.

Yep, so far Cash is beating Danzig fairly well. Lets see how this one goes.

Danzig's Mother vs Johnny Cash's A Boy Named Sue

Danzig's Mother:
Mother
Can you keep them in the dark for life
Can you hide them from the waiting world
Oh mother

Father
Gonna take your daughter out tonight
Gonna show her my world
Oh father

Not about to see your light
But if you wanna find hell with me
I can show you what it's like
Till you're bleeding

Hot damn. Thats going to be tough to beat. Mother is a song that was a hit years after it was released. Someone finally stumbled upon it and was all, "Damn, if I dont tell lots of other people to buy this record, Danzig is going to come and kick my ass.."

Johnny Cash's A Boy Named Sue:
My daddy left home when I was three
And he didn't leave much to ma and me
Just this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze.
Now, I don't blame him cause he run and hid
But the meanest thing that he ever did
Was before he left, he went and named me "Sue."

Well, he must o' thought that is quite a joke
And it got a lot of laughs from a' lots of folk,
It seems I had to fight my whole life through.
Some gal would giggle and I'd get red
And some guy'd laugh and I'd bust his head,
I tell ya, life ain't easy for a boy named "Sue."

Uh, was this written for Sesame Street? Ugh. No offense Johnny, I like your stories and everything, and the song gets a little better when the kid beats up his dad, but where did you get the story for this one?? Jesus.

Point to Danzig on this one.
Johnny Cash: 2, Danzig: 1.
